Why Wayfarers Trek?

Why Wayfarers Trek? Not why do wayfarers trek, but why this name for this insignificant place on the web?

There are a couple of reasons, I think. First of all, just being a wayfarer can render one fairly insignificant. But then, however you may want to view it, the fact of the matter is that this life is nothing but a journey. Like the old hymn says, this world is not my home, I’m just a-passin’ thru.  Nothing permanent here. Just a wayfarer on a trek through life searching for greater faith, greater meaning, and greater purpose.

Wanderers? No. Not a wanderer. Wandering seems to imply an unclear sense of destination.

Yet, we have a destination. A place to which we are going.

So as we make our way through this trek of life, as we journey toward the greater destination, there are lessons to be learned, truths to ascertain, and insights to be gained.  

And that is a trek worthy of any wayfarer.

So grab your hiking gear, pack your backpack, and prepare for a trek of discovery…
